FAQs

There are a few questions that I get asked quite frequently, so I thought that it would be helpful to add this page to my website!

DO YOU MAKE YOUR PRODUCTS YOURSELF?

Yes! I make all of my products myself in my little studio in St Ouen's Bay, Jersey, Channel Islands.

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS NATURAL?

All of my products are made with a soy base, whether that's soy wax or soy base oil. The wicks are a cotton and paper blend and my fragrances are a combination of essential oils and high grade perfume oils. The reason that my scents are not 100% natural is simply because I will always choose the oil that I deem the safer option. For example, basil essential oil has actually been flagged as potentially carcinogenic, so the high grade perfume oil is a much safer alternative. On the other hand, there are a lot of cheap low grade synthetic options out there that can also be really harmful to your health. All of my products are free from sulphates and parabens and meticulously evaluated for safety, so you can be confident that I will always make the best choices for the ingredients in my products.

HOW LONG DO YOUR PRODUCTS LAST?

Single Wick Candles - Around 30 hours of burn time
Double Wick Candles - Around 60 hours of burn time
Reed Diffusers - Approximately 12 months
Room Sprays - Over 600 sprays

These timings can depend on environmental changes like temperature, but I would like to say that it's very uncommon for my products to not reach their expected burn or use time.

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS VEGAN AND CRUELTY FREE?

Yes! Having been vegan myself since 2016, this is something that is really important to me, so you can be rest assured that all of my products are 100% vegan and cruelty free.

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS SAFE TO USE AROUND PETS?

Generally yes, I have two dogs myself (Penny & Harry) and many of my regular customers also have pets too and none of us have ever had any issues. However, if you're bringing a new scented product into your home, whether that's one of mine or simply changing your fabric softener, always just keep a close eye on your furry friend, as they can be much more sensitive than us. If you notice any sneezing, coughing, itching, redness in their eyes or general breathing difficulties, put the screw top lid back on the product immediately and contact your vet. There is important information about what is in each product on the base if you need it.

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS IN ANY SHOPS?

Yes! Have a look at my stockists page here to see where you can find them.

Those are all the ones I can think of for now! But if you have any other questions, please pop me an email at hello@daniledo.co.uk and I'll be sure to get back to you.
