FAQs
There are a few questions that I get asked quite frequently, so I thought that it would be helpful to add this page to my website!
WHERE DO YOU MAKE YOUR PRODUCTS?
I make all of my products myself here in my little studio in St Ouen's Bay.
ARE YOUR PRODUCTS NATURAL?
The bases to my products are all soy based so they are natural, yes. The fragrances I use are a mixture of essential oils and synthetic fragrance oils. Now I know what you're thinking, not synthetic fragrance oils! A while ago, I would have said exactly the same, surely natural is much better than synthetic right? Well, it's very dependant on the scent. For example basil essential oil is actually really dangerous as it's carcinogenic, so the synthetic version, basil fragrance oil, is a much safer alternative. On the other hand, if you are choosing the wrong type of synthetic fragrance oil, then these can also be really harmful to your health. All of my products are free from parabens and phathlates, and meticulously evaluated for safety, so you don't have to worry about there being any nasties in there!
HOW LONG DO YOUR PRODUCTS LAST?
Single Wick Candles - Up to 25 hours of burn time
Double Wick Candles - Up to 60 hours of burn time
Reed Diffusers - Up to 6 months
Room Sprays - Over 600 sprays
I say 'up to' because this can depend on environmental changes like temperature, but I would like to say that it's very uncommon for my products to not reach their expected burn or use time.
ARE YOUR PRODUCTS VEGAN AND CRUELTY FREE?
Yes! Having been vegan myself for over 8 years now, this is something that is really important to me, so you can be rest assured that all of my products are 100% vegan and cruelty free.
ARE YOUR PRODUCTS SAFE TO USE AROUND PETS?
Generally yes, I have a dog myself and many of my regular customers also have pets too and none of us have ever had any issues. However, if you're bringing a new scented product into your home, whether that's one of mine or simply changing your fabric softener, always just keep an eye close eye on your furry friend, as they can be much more sensitive than us. If you notice any sneezing, coughing, itching, redness in their eyes or general breathing difficulties, put the screw top lid back the product immediately and contact your vet. I will always have up to date safety data sheets on file, so if you need more information on what is in any of my products, please just send an email to me at hello@daniledo.co.uk and I can provide you with this.
Those are all the ones I can think of for now! But if you have any other questions, please pop me an email at hello@daniledo.co.uk and I'll be sure to get back to you.
